Donor Wall
The Centennial Wall was commissioned as a recognition incentive for alumni and donors. The ceramic tile fine art donor wall depicts the original School of Social Work on Pine Street. At the School of Social Policy & Practice, the wall is a historical memento to commemorate 100 years at Penn.
Top Donor names started on the “ground” floor. Names were sandblasted into the tiles. Side panel columns list the remaining donor names. Its capitals depict the University of Pennsylvania seal and bricks represent SP2’s new home on Locust Walk.
Dean Gelles said, “This is a motivational wall”. Inspiring donors and Alumni to contribute to the “Making History” campaign. He said, “In the first 97 years the school raised a total of $14 Million. In the last three years, with the help of this donor wall, we raised $33 Million!”
