Tile Workshop Seven Species
Staff retreats provide a break from the daily work routine, giving team members a chance to recharge and rejuvenate!
Rabbi Rigler began by outlining the Seven Species and gave insight on the symbolism of each. He noted that they serve as a reminder of the agricultural roots of the Jewish people and its connection to Israel.
After an engaging icebreaker clay game and some technique lessons each staff member sculpted and glazed their their Seven Species tiles.
Fired tiles were mounted, grouted, and framed and hang in Temple Sholom’s office, a daily reminder of their staff retreat tile workshop.

Thank you for working with us to create not only a beautiful work of art, but a staff retreat filled with learning, connections and fun. Your staff helped us – even those of us not artistically inclined – to create something we all are proud to display in our synagogue.
